  1. Jen,

Thank you for ALL you do. Last year I was doing research on DVC and found your videos on YouTube. Now after purchasing a DVC contract I still keep up with you! I have 1 issue I would love to know your thoughts. When speaking directly to a DVC Rep at Disney (and I have her name) she said buying DVC would lock in today’s rate for the room for the rest of my contract. I then asked her the question: What if Disney just moves points out of the season I go and puts it all into more expensive categories isnt that the same thing as a rate hike? Her Response- “What you are talking about is underhanded and un-ethical. And DISNEY is NONE of that”. -” Each year the category points stay the same and the amount of days in each category can only fluctuate a day or so depending on when a Holiday Hits”. She said it with such confidence.

So I based my points on that response I really did… (180points Bay Lake Tower/ Resale) and the season I have gone every year for the past 18 years is the Adventure Season.= HAS NOW BEEN CHANGED FROM 75 DAYS down to like 20 or so. Its just not right or fair. How can they just move 2/3’s of the cheapest season to a more expensive category in 2021 and DVC members not see that as a room rate increase?? So what if the points cost the same. Its still an increase.

For me, the perk of owning DVC was not a savings in money from my math, it was the ability to book 11 months out and get what I want. Now I feel the 75 days of Rooms will fight for the 20 days left in that category. Im back into fighting for a room as a DVC member… I just feel its not fair at all… Would love to know your thoughts.
