Well, here we are, a mere 7 weeks away from the RnR Savannah! And where am I in my training? (for those of you just here for the giveaway, scroll down. I get it. I’m busy, too. But maybe come back another time when we can hang out for a bit?)

Well, it’s going a little sluggish, to be honest. I’m not in any way panicky and I know I’ll get where I need to be, but I am so sick of running in humidity! It seems to be getting worse not better. How is that possible? Also, my left foot is bugging me (which isn’t new – I have mild PF in that foot pretty much all the time).

Wow, who’s a whiny diaper baby today? ME! I clearly need to get over it and get this party on the right track. One really good sign? On my training run day before last I saw this on a bench. I’m taking it to mean “Wow, Jen, you’re amazing and you’re going to have the best half ever!” Or something like that. Also could just mean somebody lost their visor but that’s a boring way to look at it.

But onto the big story! Have you checked out The Sewing Room? Here’s the basics: Skirt Sports asked a bunch of amazingly talented people to submit their ideas for a new product. You can check them all out on the website and pledge $$$ toward your favorite! Which ever one gets the funding they will make. They even just opened up their second round (check out this article in Competitor)  so if you have a design idea, you could be the next Skirt Sports designer!

I love this for a lot of reasons – I’m all for encouraging creativity in all forms, empowering woman to make new things, and new products that will make my running life more fashionable and comfortable!
